Baxter Trail

This trail runs for 1.8 miles, connecting Pennypack on the Delaware Park with Pleasant Hill Park and Fish Hatchery, and includes a 180 ft. long, 12 ft. wide pedestrian bridge over the Pennypack Creek.

The trail will connect to the on-road bike lanes on State Road at Linden Avenue. This in turn will connect to the East Coast Greenway trail sections in Bensalem Township and beyond that are in various stages of design and construction.

Though the trail broke ground in October 2014, the adjacent police gun range is going through a safety upgrade and until the project is complete the trail behind it will not be open. Currently expected to open Summer 2017.
