2017 Guided Park Walks - Explore • Learn • History • Nature!
Walk leader Roland Williams is a life-member of the Friends of Pennypack Park. His book ‘Exploring Pennypack Park’ is the product of countless park walks and many years of keen observation of the nature and history to be found here.

Mr. Williams is a self-taught artist and naturalist with special interest in birds, trees, and geology, and with extensive knowledge of Native American prehistory and archaeology. “Through my writing and these walks I try to convey an appreciation for the incredible richness of nature and history we have in this park. Pennypack Park is a true treasure, a place of astonishing beauty, and a real asset to Northeast Philadelphia. I would like everyone to know this park and love it as I do. Everyone is welcome on these walks - and please ask questions!”

(Due to weather some walks may be canceled. If in doubt call 215-934-PARK)
