Giving Thanks For A Busy Fall On The Greenway

It was a busy fall on the North Delaware Riverfront Greenway! In addition to enjoying the new K&T Trail that opened in early summer, the calendar was chock full of fun things to do. For our runners, we had the Greenway 5K. For our hikers, we participated in nature walks as part of “A Walk in Penn’s Woods”. For our kayakers, we tested the waters of the mighty Delaware River and experienced a beautifully calm trip from Pleasant Hill Park to Pennypack on the Delaware. Our cyclists enjoyed the 2nd Annual “Bikes, Beans & Beers” event on a ride from Fishtown to Bridesburg via the well-loved and convenient Port Richmond Trail. And for our yogis, we held a class by the river in Pulaski Park on a beautiful September Sunday. There really was something for everyone. If you missed out on these great fall events, don’t worry! There are so many more to come in 2018. Stay tuned to where we will be posting our list of 2018 events in mid-December.

Thanks to all who participated in the events this fall and also to all of our partners who made these ideas a reality. We are thankful for such a wonderful community in the River Wards and Northeast sections of the city. We can’t wait to see everything grow in the years to come and welcome any and all community input on future event ideas!
