Spring on the Greenway

April showers bring May flowers. Unfortunately, we had a few too many showers on Saturday to hold our Earth Day Festival. But don’t worry! We are still very excited for all of the activities we had planned with Councilman Henon’s office, Tacony Lab and Mural Arts Philadelphia, so we are postponing the event. Stay tuned for the rain-date, likely to be in June.

While you wait for that, we’ve got plenty more to keep you busy. Next up is our ZUMBA ON THE PIER event, scheduled for Saturday, May 6th at 12pm in Lardner’s Point Park. So get your sneakers out, brush off those dance moves and JOIN US for a class taught by Colleen Beaucheane. All ages are welcome and tickets are only $5.

May flowers will be blooming for our two scheduled cleanups for LOVE YOUR PARK WEEK:

May 13th: Pleasant Hill Park, 10am-2pm

May 20th: Ladner’s Point Park, 10am-2pm

And if that isn’t enough for you, we are loving our parks even more by celebrating with a RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY for the grand opening of our K&T Trail - Phase One on May 15th, as well as holding our annual fundraiser, THE SPRING FLING, on Thursday the 18th (tickets and sponsorships still available!)

Happy Spring Everyone!
