The Greenway is already an asset to the North Delaware Riverfront neighborhoods. Families and friends from throughout Northeast Philadelphia enjoy the portions of the trail and adjacent parks that are already opened. The project’s value increases with every step completed.
But in the not-too-distant future, the Greenway will move from being a neighborhood asset, to a regional and national treasure. The Greenway is envisioned as a keystone link in the East Coast Greenway, a 2,600 mile trail stretching from Maine to Florida.
So whether your interests are building our neighborhood or expanding our reach, you can make a difference by getting involved with the DRCC by:
- Joining like-minded community volunteers participating in trail tending activities.
- Helping raise the funds to enhance the Greenway with additional plantings, trail amenities, and recreational programs and more.
- Putting your skills to work as a member of the one of the committees, such as trail tending, park management, fund raising, or communications.
- Making a charitable gift to DRCC – the nonprofit organization making this plan a reality.
