Did you know that more than 700,000 people in our area do not know where their next meal will come from? Help us fight hunger in your neighborhood!
DRCC will be holding it’s first Holiday Food Drive from Dec. 11th-Jan. 5th to benefit the Bridesburg Community Food Pantry. One of the largest in the City, the food pantry is located on the lower level of the Bridesburg United Methodist Church on Kirkbride St. and provides services for hundreds of people in the 19134 and 19137 area each week.
Here are two ways you can help:
- Donate online via DRCC! Instead of heading to the store to buy donation items, can the cans and give what you planned on spending directly to the food pantry. It’s quick, easy, and they can get much more out of $1 than you could at any grocery store - two meals to be exact! (*Note in the comments line of the donation “2017 Food Drive”)
- If you’d prefer to clean out your pantry and contribute food items, bring your non-perishable donations to any of our Neighborhood Drop-off Locations listed below!
River Wards Café - 3118 Richmond St.
Bridesburg Recreation Center - 4601 Richmond St. (*note that donations at this address will be accepted starting Dec 13th)

Together we CAN make a difference!
