The Delaware Riverfront Greenway, the Philadelphia section of the 3,000 mile East Coast Greenway, will re-establish the Delaware riverfront as a place to live, work, and play. The North Delaware Greenway faces many obstacles to its construction, but if successfully built, it will transform the riverfront into an asset for the many neighborhoods in northeast Philadelphia.
Community involvement is vital to the greenway’s success. Parks and trails will create places for active and passive recreation, stimulate re-investment, and create substantial ecological benefits.
