On Saturday, Oct. 26th, beginning at 9 a.m., DRCC will host a Volunteer Day at Lardner’s Point Park, Levick Street at the River, next to the Lardner’s Point Pumping Station and just south of the Tacony Palmyra Bridge. We will be doing a fall planting and sprucing up the park. All the help we can get will be most appreciated, so come on out and get your hands dirty with us!
The following Tuesday, Oct. 29th, we will have a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 2 p.m. for the Port Richmond Trail section which is being completed this month. This new 1.6 mile section of trail is the newest portion of the Greenway for Northeast Philadelphia and we are very excited to share it with you. The event will be held at Pulaski Park, Delaware & Allegheny Avenues. Come on over and take a walk, a run or a bike ride to enjoy this new amenity!
